While Hicks was in custody, she allegedly threw a cup which contained urine and feces at a corrections deputy on Aug. 7.

Hicks reportedly had covered the window to her cell, which obstructed the deputy’s view inside. The deputy opened the door to communicate with Hicks, and despite taking measures to avoid the assault, was struck in the face and chest with the body waste.

Hicks now faces additional charges of aggravated harassment, third-degree criminal mischief, obstructing governmental or judicial administration and assault on a public safety officer.
