A 34-year-old Oregon City man was sentenced Wednesday to 16 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old child, according to a release from the Oregon City Police Department.
Oregon City Police detectives began an investigation in November 2015 concerning a report of sexual assaults involving a 13-year-old victim.
During the investigation, detectives identified Michael Scott Morris, 34, of Oregon City, as the suspect.

No other victims have been identified.
In August 2016, a Clackamas County Grand Jury indicted Morris on three counts of first-degree rape, one count of second-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, one count of second-degree sodomy and eight counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Morris pled guilty on July 12, and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
