Pair arrested for heroin possession at Roseburg video poker room

Two men were arrested Saturday evening at a Roseburg video poker room on heroin possession and other violations, according to a press release from Roseburg Police.

At 8:39 p.m. Saturday, Roseburg Police contacted Jonathan Scott Havice, 27, in the video poker room at Abby’s Pizza, located at 1661 NE Stephens.

Havice was arrested on a probation violation, and also was found to be in possession of heroin.

As police were in the process of arresting Havice, he was displaying signs of overdosing and was taken to Mercy Medical Center.

While police were at the location, they also contacted Jason Len Cox, 37, in the video poker room, and arrested him on a warrant. Cox, too, was found to be in possession of heroin.

Both remain lodged in Douglas County Jail.
