Eugene Police are seeking the public’s help identifying and locating a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman at Alton Baker Park Sunday morning, according to a press release.

At about 10:50 a.m., Nov. 12, an unknown male subject came up behind a woman, punched her and sexually assaulted her. Police say she was wearing earphones and did not hear the suspect as he approached her.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is reported to be a white male in his 30s who stands at least 6’4” or taller with a medium build, and has shaggy brown hair. He was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and a brown vest, described as similar to a fishing vest with lots of pockets.

The woman was taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
