A 20-year-old Redmond man was arrested Monday on charges involving a 15-year-old girl, according to a release from Redmond Police Department.
Police fielded a report Aug. 14 of a man possibly attempting to lure a teenage girl for the purposes of sexual conduct.
Subsequent investigation by police revealed the suspect, identified as Austin Rose, 20, of Redmond, had allegedly contacted a 15-year-old girl through text messages and social media, transmitting sexually explicit materials to the girl and suggesting they meet.
Officers contacted Rose and interviewed him, and arrested him on five counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse and one count of luring a minor.
