A Roseburg woman faces multiple charges after she attempted to elude capture from police on a bicycle Friday afternoon, according to a release from Roseburg Police.
At about 5 p.m., Sept. 1, police attempted to make contact with Coleen Ann Chulufas, 57, of Roseburg, after she reportedly caused a disturbance at Bob’s Deli, located at 1147 NE Stephens St.
Police say Chulufas fled from police on a bicycle, causing a traffic jam. Another officer tried to contact Chulufas further along NE Stephens, but she attempted to flee again.
Chulufas, however, was unsuccessful in her second attempt to flee, as the officer was able to grab her and detain her without further incident.
As Chulufas was being taken to Douglas County Jail, she reportedly vomited in the patrol car.
Chulufas was lodged in jail on charges of DUII, second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass, interfering with police and harassment.
