Seaside pair arrested on heroin delivery, child neglect charges

Two Seaside residents were arrested Wednesday after the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) and Seaside Police Department (SPD) executed a search warrant at a Seaside residence, according to a press release from CCSO.

CCSO and SPD served a search warrant July 12 at a residence located at 841 2nd Ave. in Seaside. The warrant was granted as a result of information obtained and developed from a drug investigation coordinated between the two law enforcement agencies.

Authorities arrested Austin Randall Perry-Wenner, 24, and Michelle Renee Brelin, 45, both of Seaside.

Both were found in possession of heroin, digital scales, packaging materials, a stun gun,  and a “Sig Sauer” replica handgun.

During the search warrant, there were three minor children, two dogs and eleven puppies in the residence.

One of the children was returned to her guardian, and the other two were placed into DHS protective custody. The animals were all taken to the Seaside City Kennel.

Brelin and Perry-Wenner are under investigation for animal abuse, and were arrested and taken to Clatsop County Jail on charges of delivery of heroin within 1,000 feet of a school and first-degree child neglect.
