Just before 7 p.m., Oct. 31, police were called to a report of an armed robbery at See’s Candies, located at 207 Coburg Rd. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect at that time.

Fifteen minutes later, police were called to another reported armed robbery at Dari Mart, located at W. 1st Ave. and Monroe St. Police say a knife was used in the robberies, and the description of the suspect in the Dari Mart robbery was the same as the See’s robbery.

Detectives launched an investigation into the robberies, and developed some leads from reviewing surveillance images.

At 3:51 p.m., Nov. 7, a detective located the suspect, identified as Jeremiah Charles Owens, 26, no address, near Four Corners (Hwy. 99 and Roosevelt Blvd.), and arrested him on two counts of first-degree robbery.
