Two Coos Bay women arrested in altercation with deputy

Two Coos Bay women were arrested Thursday night after an altercation with a deputy, according to a release from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 11 p.m., Aug. 10, deputies were dispatched to a location in the 93600 block of Bay Park Lane for a medical call.

It was reported several people at the scene were intoxicated, and deputies learned a dispute had occurred between three females and one male.

As deputies were interviewing the involved individuals, one of the females, Kayla Myers, 24, of Coos Bay, allegedly began punching and attacking the male. Deputies tried to restrain Myers, who is accused of resisting, then kicking and punching the deputy who was arresting her.

While Myers was being arrested, another female, Tiffany Watte, 33, of Coos Bay, attempted to stop the deputy by grabbing his arm and saying she would take Myers home.
